Our Mission
The only thing older than the internets is unreasonable bickering. With the advent of forums and comments sections, people are now able to reveal their ignorance to anonymous strangers more efficiently and in greater volume than during any other time in human history. Before the exponentially-increasing density of our collective bullshit creates a singularity that swallows up everything good and logical, we have to come together and build a unified place to eradicate stupid.
If you feel like you keep repeating the same arguments to different arguers, it's because you are. But you don't have to do so anymore. Instead of responding to an inane and predictable comment on a news story or Youtube video, just link the discussion to the appropriate Trollspotting page and fight back with the combined wit and logic of contributors just as exasperated and exhausted as you are. And if the Trollspotting topic does not yet exist, register an account and create it yourself! Excelsior!
The point is not exactly to show people that they're wrong. The true goal of Trollspotting is to teach the interwebs how to debate better. For the people who have a good point to make but skip the proper logic to get there, we have (or will have) the community-written, poorly-edited guides. But of course, some people just aren't looking for anything logical. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Or maybe that's The Joker. Well anyway, we also have the pages for them. So that's fun.

- Link the troll to defeat
