Welcome to our website on Troll Spotting. My family and I setup this site in order to have some fun Geocaching. For those who do not know what Geocaching is, I suggest that you check out the site: www.Geocaching.com. The site can explain what it is better that I could. The general idea is that you can use things such as a GPS or compass to locate boxes called caches that are placed around the world. It sort of is like taking a hike, but with a hide and seek type twist. It can be very entertaining.

The idea of this site is to track our Troll GeoCaches and our Traveling Trolls. We did not feel that there was enough space on Geocaching.com for all the info that we wanted to include. It is a great site, but it does have it's limits. Tracking Trolls being one of them.

Our very first Troll that we placed was called King Tuk. It is a puzzle cache. It was also designed for the Boy Scouts and is located somewhere at Camp Squanto. There are hints around the camp that allow you to locate the Troll and we have a section on this site that will help you further. Hopefully the Scouts will have the skills to find King Tuk. It also can be found using just a compass for those Scouts without a GPS. King Tuk was hidden by my son Andrew.

The next two Trolls that we have hidden were placed around Ponkapoag over in the Blue Hills. They are sibs Prince Tux and Princess Tiara. They are not hard to find, and the walk around the lake is very scenic. My whole family helped set these up and the girls really had a great time picking out the Trolls, so much so that they did not want to give them up:}

We are planning on creating a bunch of Travel Trolls, which are very much like Travel Bugs, but will be tracked on this site. We hope that people will log anytime they find one here. We shall send them off to different adventures and hopefully most will complete their journey without getting lost.

The concept of the Travel Trolls and Troll Spotting are not limited to just our family. We are opening this up to anyone who wants to do it. We are not charging you to use this site. If you create a GeoCache with a Troll base theme, please let us know and we will ad it to the site for tracking. You can even track your Travel Trolls.
